MONMOUTH, Ore. - Western Oregon will host the 2009 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 at McArthur Field.

The meet will open with the men's shot put and the women's discus throw at 4:00 p.m., on Friday. The opening ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m., on Friday with the running events following shortly thereafter.

The meet will pick back up Saturday at 10:45 a.m., with the women's hammer and the running events will start at noon.

Admission prices for adults will be $8.00 and students will be $5.00.

This will be the third time Western Oregon has hosted the GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (2004 & 2006).
