Samantha Ward, a junior outside hitter from Salem, Ore. (West Salem HS), helped lead Western Oregon to a sweep of the Alaska schools to close out the 2011 season. Ward hit .351 for the weekend including posting 14 kills and just one error against nationally ranked Alaska Anchorage. She also added three assisted blocks in the set.
