Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
What is the SAAC?
The student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes from all 11 intercollegiate athletic teams at Western Oregon University. They are assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience and to offer input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on the Western Oregon campus.
What is the purpose of the SAAC?
The SAAC will act as a liaison and maintain lines of communication between student-athletes and the athletic administration to advance the interests of the student-athlete population.
Who can be a member?
The SAAC membership should be representative of the student-athlete population. At the end of each academic year each team selects two athletes to serve as SAAC representatives. Membership is limited to all student-athletes who have been varsity athletes for at least one year. All representatives need to be in good academic standing.
