Grady Wood threw a three-hit, shutout of No. 10 regionally ranked Northwest Nazarene to lead the Wolves to a 5-0 win in their series opener. The senior right-hander from Junction City, Ore. (Junction City HS) needed just 79 pitches to get through the nine inning game. He induced 15 groundball outs and struck out six Crusaders to improve to 5-0 on the season. Two of NNU's three hits were infield singles, and between the Crusaders' second and third hits Wood retired 12 straight batters.
