Feb. 6-12
Wood, a right handed starter from Junction City, Ore. (Junction City HS), pitched the Wolves to a 10-1 win in the opener against defending West Region Champions, Sonoma State. The senior threw eight innings allowing just one unearned run and four hits to earn his 10th straight victory, dating back to last season. Wood has not allowed an earned run and has given up just seven hits this season in 15 innings of work.

Mar. 5-11
Wood was named the GNAC Pitcher of the Week after his three-hit, shutout of No. 10 regionally ranked Northwest Nazarene. The senior right-hander from Junction City, Ore. (Junction City HS) needed just 79 pitches to get through the nine inning game. He induced 15 groundball outs and struck out six Crusaders to improve to 5-0 on the season. Two of NNU's three hits were infield singles, and between the Crusaders' second and third hits Wood retired 12 straight batters.

Apr. 23-29
Grady Wood, a right hander from Junction City, Ore. (Junction City HS), blanked Central Washington 8-0 on four hits.  He didn't walk a batter in the nine-inning game fanning six and increasing his season strikeout total to 70 in 75 innings. He's walked just eight and now has a microscopic 1.32 ERA. Wood is 10-0 this season and his 18-game win streak matches the fifth longest in NCAA Division II history. He has been involved in four shutouts, two in which he has gone the distance and two others he has shared with relief pitchers.

Apr. 30-May 6
Wood was named the GNAC co-Pitcher of the Week. He extended his win streak to 19 games, just two shy of the NCAA Division II record of 21 in pitching the Wolves to a 19-0 win over Saint Martin's. He also made his first relief appearance during his two seasons at Western Oregon, pitching a scoreless ninth inning (facing just two hitters to acquire three outs) and earning a save in Wednesday's 7-5 victory.  Wood is now 11-0 on the season and has a microscopic 1.19 ERA. In 83 innings, he has struck out 77 and walked just nine. He also has put together a streak of 26 consecutive scoreless innings to rank second in GNAC history behind WOU's Nick Waechter who had a streak of 29 shutout innings. This is the second straight GNAC Pitcher of the Week honor for Wood.
