Goularte scored 19 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, and blocked six shots in the Wolves' first victory in the conference this season over Central Washington Saturday. The junior made seven of her 12 shots from the field in the overtime win. After her 26 point-performance Thursday against Northwest Nazarene, she became the first WOU player to grab 17 rebounds since Shannon Talbott did at Central Washington on Feb. 2, 2005. The Port Orchard, Wash. native, was also the first Wolf to block six shots since Rylee Peterson did on Dec. 1, 2011, against Central Washington again.
"I can't say enough about Dana's effort tonight," WOU Head Coach Holli Howard-Carpenter said. "She had one of the best all around performances I've ever seen. She defended, made some great passes and was a beast on the boards."
Goularte had her 22nd double-digit scoring performance in her career, and eighth double-double. It was her third double-double of the season. She totaled 45 points and 25 rebounds in the two games this week.
