Western Oregon University Wolves

Matt Kaino, a freshman from Ilwaco, Wash. (Ilwaco High School), ran a career-best time of 48.30 in the 400m to win the event at the Oregon Preview by .48 seconds. That time moved him into fifth in the Western Oregon record books and into a tie for seventh place in the history of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. His time also placed him second on the 2010 GNAC performance list and was .3 seconds of the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.
