The senior excelled individually and in team relays this past week in Seattle. On Friday night, Sultessa ran his leg of the men’s distance relay, the 800-meters, in a split of 1:50 to lead the “A” crew to a Western Oregon school record time of 9:53.08 and a NCAA provisional qualifying mark. The next day, he ran a time of 1:50.23 in the 800 meters to post the third-best Division II time this season and slide into second place on the WOU all-time record list.
