Ashley Potter, a sophomore jumper from Springfield, Ore. (Thurston High School), leaped a distance of 39-8.75 (12.11m) in the women's triple jump at the Stanford Invitational to claim the top mark in the history of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. That mark was just four centimeters off the NCAA automatic qualifying standard (12.15m) and moved her into third place on the 2010 Division II performance list. Potter also broke the 16-year Western Oregon school record previously held by Alicia Marshall (38-11.75).
