Rylee Peterson, a 5-11 junior forward from Newport, Ore. (Newport High School), helped Western Oregon go 1-1 at the WOU/Phoenix Inn D2 Shootout. Over the two games she scored 38 points, pulled down 17 rebounds, had 11 steals and blocked seven shots. She made 12-of-28 shots from the field and 12-of-16 at the line. In the game against Humboldt State, which would be the Wolves' first win of the season, Peterson scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds, blocked five shots and had seven steals. This was her first game of the season not recording a double-double.
