Kyle Long, a 6-3 junior guard from McMinnville, Ore. (McMinnville High School), scored a career-high 33 points to lead Western Oregon to the championship over Willamette in the inaugural Capital City Classic. He hit 10-of-15 shots from the field, including 7-of-10 three-pointers, and dished out five assists to lead WOU to the win. For the weekend, he recorded 43 points and 11 assists. Long was named co-MVP of the tournament.
