Kellen Hobie is in his second season as the outfielders coach for Western Oregon. Last season, Hobie helped lead outfielders Jason Moseby and Daniel Dillard to Daktronics All-West Region honors.
Prior to joining Western Oregon Hobie coached one season at Missouri Western State (2008) where he worked with the outfielders. He then moved onto North Eugene High School and instructed the catchers during the 2009 season.
Hobie's playing experience reaches back to his roots in Oregon. He played his first two years at Lane Community College and was named to the all-league first team. He then went to Missouri Western State (2006-07) to finish out his collegiate career.
Hobie was born in Eugene and attended North Eugene High School.
