MONMOUTH, Ore. - Amanda Murdoch scored 24 points including tying a Great Northwest Athletic Conference-record by shooting six of six from three-point range to lead Central Washington to a 76-68 win over the Western Oregon University women's basketball team, Saturday, Feb. 7.

The win snapped an eight-game losing streak for CWU and was its first win in the GNAC this season. The Wildcats now stand 4-15 with a 1-7 mark in league play. The loss was the second straight for the Wolves as they fell to 3-6 in the conference and to 8-12 on the season.

Western Oregon's Katie Torland led all scorers with 26 points and eight rebounds. She went 10 of 21 from the field, three of six from behind the arc and three of three from the free throw line. Sara Zahler was the only other WOU player in double-figures with 12 points.

Murdoch's six three-pointers are the most in GNAC history without a miss. She was just one of three Wildcats in double figures as Shaina Afoa had 16 points and Stephanie Wenke chipped in with 12.

WOU never lead in the game as it fell behind 4-0 and got down by as many as 19 in the first half (32-13). In the first 14 minutes of the game the Wolves had only 13 points on four of 21 field goals and had committed eight turnovers.
