SEATTLE - The No. 15 Seattle Pacific Falcons outscored the Western Oregon men's basketball team by 21-points in the second half to earn an 89-69 victory, Thursday, Feb. 11.

This was the Falcons' ninth win in 10 Great Northwest Athletic Conference games, as they improved to 18-3 on the season and 9-1 in league. The loss ended the Wolves' bid for their third straight win, and they fell to 11-10 on the year and 4-6 in the GNAC.

Western Oregon led 38-37 at the half, but Seattle Pacific hit 61-percent of its shots in the second half while holding WOU to 39-percent from the field to earn the season sweep.

Ryan Sweet and Chris Banchero each had 20 points to lead the Falcons. Brandon Larrieu also chipped in 15 points, and Jeff Downs added 12 off the bench. Sweet also grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double.

Rico Myles led all scorers with 22 points, including 14 in the second half. He converted 8-of-13 shots from the field and 6-of-10 at the line. Kyle Long was the only other Wolf in double-figures, as he notched 15 points and a team-best eight rebounds.

The Wolves grabbed the one-point halftime lead after shooting 59-percent in the first half and holding the Falcons to a 38-percent shooting clip. However, the second half would see a change in fortunes for both teams, as the Falcons were able to pull away in the game with excellent marksmanship from the floor.

The WOU men's basketball team will now return home to host Montana State Billings in a GNAC showdown Saturday, Feb. 13, at 7:00 p.m.
