MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon women's basketball team returns to conference action this week as the Wolves travel to Seattle, Wash., to face Seattle Pacific on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 7:00 p.m. before heading to Billings, Mont., to face Montana State Billings on Saturday, Dec. 31, at 1:00 p.m.
Western Oregon enters the trip with a mark of 3-9 on the season after splitting a pair of games in Hawai'i two weeks ago. The Wolves knocked off BYU-Hawai'i before falling to Hawai'i Pacific to close out non-conference play.
The Wolves currently sit tied atop the GNAC standings with a mark of 2-0 on the year as senior
Rylee Peterson continues to lead Western Oregon, averaging 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Senior
Jade Haas is the other WOU player in double figures, averaging 11.8 points per contest.
Seattle Pacific enters with a mark of 7-3 and 1-1 in conference play after defeating Pacific Lutheran on Dec. 19. The Falcons are led by Katie Benson, who leads the team at 17.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
Montana State Billings enters the week with an 8-5 mark overall; however, the Yellowjackets are 0-2 in conference play. Bobbi Knudsen leads the MSUB attack as she is the only player in double figures, averaging 16.1 points per game.
Western Oregon trails the all-time series against both opponents as the Falcons are 30-4 all-time against the Wolves while Montana State Billings holds a 14-4 series edge.
Following the weekend road trip, Western Oregon will return home to face Simon Fraser on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7:00 p.m.
