MONMOUTH, Ore. – Finished with a month-long road trip, the Western Oregon women's basketball team returns home this week for a pair of conference games, hosting Simon Fraser on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7:00 p.m. before closing out the week against Western Washington on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 2:00 p.m.
The Wolves enter the week in a tie for fifth-place in the league standings with a 2-2 mark in conference play, 3-11 overall, after Western Oregon fell to Seattle Pacific and Montana State Billings last week.
Senior post player
Rylee Peterson continues to lead the WOU attack as she leads the team and ranks fifth in the conference with 16.2 points per game.
Jade Haas is also averaging in double figures as the senior guard is averaging 10.4 points per contest.
Simon Fraser enters the week with a mark of 7-4 overall as the Clan are currently in a tie for third-place in the league race with a 2-1 conference record. Last week, the Clan defeated Manitoba before falling at Western Washington. Simon Fraser is led by Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe, who leads the team and is averaging a double-double with 16.7 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.
After the match with the Clan, the Wolves will face Western Washington, who enters the week with an 8-3 overall record and 2-1 mark in GNAC play. Last week, the Vikings defeated Simon Fraser in their only contest. The Vikings are led by Corinn Waltrip, who leads WWU in scoring at 12.5 points per game.
Last season, Western Oregon swept the season series from Simon Fraser while the Vikings captured both meetings against the Wolves. Simon Fraser holds a 6-3 all-time series edge against WOU while Western Washington leads the all-time series against the Wolves, 38-7.

Following this week's action, the Wolves will return to the road as they travel to Lacey, Wash., to face Saint Martin's on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 7:00 p.m.
