MONMOUTH, Ore. - Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe recorded a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead Simon Fraser to a 66-53 win over the Western Oregon women's basketball team on Thursday, Jan. 5.

The Clan (8-4, 3-1 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) never trailed in the game as they used a 10-0 run in the first half to build a 17-point halftime advantage. The Wolves (3-12, 2-3 GNAC) would cut the lead back to 12 points multiple times around the 10 minute mark in the second period but could never find the basket to bring the Clan's lead to single digits.

Jade Haas scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead three Wolves with double figure points. WOU also got 12 points from Rylee Peterson and 11 from Melissa Fowler.

SFU held a 28-12 advantage in points off turnovers and a 40-29 advantage on the boards.

The Western Oregon women's basketball team will be at home again this Saturday (Jan. 7) to take on Western Washington at 2:00 p.m.
