LACEY, Wash. – Western Oregon University's soccer team concluded its 2014 season with a 2-0 loss against Saint Martin's University Saturday in Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on the SMU Soccer Field.

In a game that was played without any playoff implications on the line, the two teams combined for 21 total shots.

The first half was a defensive battle without either team finding the back of the net, as both teams combined to register 10 shots with the host Saints unleashing seven versus WOU's three.

In the second half, Saint Martin's got the eventual game-winning goal at 57:25 on Jessica Christian's first goal of the season. Christian scored off a direct kick following a Western Oregon foul, as the Saints took the lead just over 12 minutes into the second half.

Less than 20 minutes later, Saint Martin's scored an insurance goal at 75:54 when Kari Inch netted her first goal of the season from six yards out to increase the Saints' lead to two goals and cap the game's scoring.

Western Oregon's Lindsey Mabinuori appeared in only her second game of the season between the pipes for the Wolves and registered a pair of saves, while Saint Martin's Chelsie Still tallied a game-high five saves en route to earning the win.

Overall, Saint Martin's tallied 12 shots with four being on-target compared to Western Oregon's nine shots with five being on frame. The host Saints earned seven-of-eight corner kicks in the game, while SMU was whistled for 14 fouls versus Western Oregon's 12.

Western Oregon concludes its season at 6-8-4 overall and 4-6-4 in GNAC play, while Saint Martin's closes out its season at 3-13-2 overall and 3-10-1 in conference games.
