MONMOUTH, Ore. -- The Western Oregon University women's basketball team continues Great Northwest Athletic Conference play with home games against the University of Alaska Thursday and Red Out on Saturday versus the University of Alaska-Anchorage.
LAST TIME OUT
• Western Oregon fell short in their second match up this season against the Saint Martin's University, 59-56, last Saturday.
• Western Oregon held SMU to just 29 percent shooting from the field, while it shot 35 percent.
• SMU only committed nine turnovers, a season-low for a Wolves' opponent, while WOU had 13.
• Saint Martin's had three players reach double digits in scoring.

Dana Goularte scored 16 points, matched a career-high 17 rebounds, and made four blocks.
WESTERN OREGON STORYLINES
• In the Great Northwest Athletic Conference,
Dana Goularte is currently third in blocks per game (2.06), second in field goal percentage (50.5), third in rebounds (9.1), and her 18.2 points per outing is third.
• The junior had her sixth double-double of the season, and 11th of her career in the loss to Saint Martin's last week.
• Western Oregon is 5-1 when it finishes with a better shooting percentage than its opponent, but 0-12 when the opponent has a better field goal percentage.
• The Wolves are 2-11 this season when their opponents score at least 60 points in a game.
ABOUT THE NANOOKS
• Alaska snapped a five-game losing streak with a home win over Central Washington last Saturday.
• The Nanooks are averaging 10.5 steals per outing.
• UAF's Kelly Logue and Victoria Milton are third and eighth in the conference in steals per outing.
• Alaska also boasts the ninth best three-point field goal percentage defense in NCAA Div. II.
• The Nanooks' Jordan Wilson leads the GNAC with a 55.9 field goal percentage.
• Wilson is averaging 17.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, which are both sfifth and fourth in the conference.
SERIES HISTORY
• Western Oregon has a 23-16 lead in the all-time series.
• The Nanooks last victory in Monmouth was in 2007.
• WOU has won eight of the last 10 games in the series.
• The first meeting was a WOU 68-65 win in Monmouth in 1976.
ABOUT THE SEAWOLVES
• Alaska-Anchorage is receiving votes in the national poll.
• The Seawolves are in a five-way tie for second place in the GNAC.
• UAA is 5-3 away from Anchorage this season.
• Alaska-Anchorage leads the conference in steals per game (15.6) and assists per game (17.7).
• Alaska-Anchroage is third in the nation in steals and turnover margin.
• UAA's 84.5 points per outing leads the GNAC and is fourth in NCAA Division II.
