Andy Avgi in an 81-51 victory over host Notre Dame de Namur on Friday evening in Gleason Gymnasium.

Western Oregon (5-0) had four players in double figures, as senior
Jordan Wiley knocked down five 3-pointers for 15 points. Sophomore
Alex Roth scored 13 points and freshman
Kadeem Strickland notched 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting for the Wolves.

WOU pulled away in the opening 14 minutes with a 29-2 run, sparked by 10 Avgi points and nine more from Wiley, and led 43-20 at the half.

The lead extended to as many as 35 points at the 6:41 mark of the second half following layups from
Buster Souza and Roth.

Western Oregon dominated in all aspects of the game, shooting 52.6 percent from the field and forcing 19 Argonaut turnovers that led to 30 points. NDNU shot 35.4 percent for the game, led by Jalen Young with 16 points and four assists.

The Wolves play Saturday against Holy Names at 5 p.m. The Hawks lost to UC San Diego, 74-50, in earlier Friday action.
