No. 14 Wolves win sixth straight

MONMOUTH, Ore.—Erupting for a 10-0 run over a two-minute span midway through the first half, No. 14-ranked Western Oregon University soundly defeated Montana State University Billings, 92-68, in GNAC men's basketball action on Saturday night.

Shooting 63.8 percent from the floor on the night, Western Oregon (13-1, 5-1 GNAC) generated an 18-point lead at the half and expanded the advantage to as many as 32 points following the break to post the team's sixth straight win.

Six players reached double figures in scoring for WOU, while all 12 players that dressed for the team scored at least two points on the night. Demetrius Trammell led the Wolves with 14 points and was followed by 12 from Riley Hawken and 11 each from Malik Morgan and Janvier Alaby.

Tanner Omlid and JJ Chirnside added 10 points each while Hawken grabbed nine boards to finish one carom away from a 'double-double'. Chirnside, meanwhile, tied a career high with five assists, a mark he previously set against Fresno Pacific earlier in the season.
