BELLINGHAM, Washington --- The Western Oregon men's soccer team lost to 20th-ranked Western Washington 2-0 Saturday night at Harrington Field.
The Wolves (1-5-1 overall, 0-2 GNAC) fell behind the Vikings (6-0-3, 2-0) in the sixth minute on Albin Jonsson's fifth goal of the season.
The score remained that way until the 56th minute when WWU's Alessandro Tomasi converted a penalty kick to make it 2-0.
The Wolves were outshot 20-7, including 9-1 on shots on goals.
Abraham Villalobos and
Alex Grignon led the team with two shots apiece.
Juan Suarez finished the contest with seven saves for WOU.
The Wolves return to action 11:30 a.m. Thursday when they host Northwest Nazarene at WOU Turf Field.
