PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Western Oregon men's basketball team was selected eighth in the GNAC Preseason Coaches Poll released by the conference Tuesday.
The Wolves finished ahead of Alaska and Simon Fraser while Saint Martin's was picked to win the GNAC followed by Northwest Nazarene and Central Washington to fill out the top three.
WOU is coming off a 12-14 season, including a 9-9 mark in conference play - good for a tie for fourth place and a spot into the GNAC postseason tournament.
The Wolves host an exhibition 7 p.m. Thursday against Warner Pacific before opening the season on teh road at the GNAC/CCAA Conference Challenge Nov. 10-11 where they will face CSU San Bernardino and CSU Monterey Bay.
