ROHNERT PARK, Calif. --- Behind a career-high 30 points from
Qiant Myers, the Western Oregon men's basketball team defeated host Sonoma State 75-69 at the Ron Logsdon Classic at The Wolves' Den.
WOU (2-3) handed SSU (3-1) its first loss - controlling the game from near the end of the first half on. The Wolves led the Seawolves by more than a possession over the final 22 minutes of the contest - a game-high 14 points with 4:41 remaining after a pair of Myers free throws.
Myers finished 10-for-15 from the field, including 3-for-6 from 3-point range, and was 7-for-9 from the free-throw line to go along with five assists and four rebounds.
Carson Frincke added 11 points - also going 3-for-6 from 3-point range as teh Wolves drained 11 3-pointers in the contest.
Cameron Benzel added eight points, six rebounds and two blocks while
Kris Cook also had eight points to go along with three rebounds and three assists.
WOU returns to action 7 p.m. Tuesday at home against Linfield.
