NOTES FOR THIS WEEK...

MEN'S BASKETBALL
  • The Wolves played once last week, beating in-state foe Linfield 80-71. Qiant Myers, the previous week's GNAC Player of the Week, offensively stayed hot - leading the way with his third double-double of the season (one of those being a triple-double) with 19 points, 10 assists and five rebounds - going 7-for-12 from the field. Cameron Benzel had 18 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and three steals while Kris Cook had 15 points, two blocks and two steals and was an efficient 5-for-7 from the field, including 3-for-5 from 3-point range.
  • WOU enters conference play third in the conference in scoring (79.0 points per game) and 10th in scoring defense (80.0).
  • Myers started the week leading the nation and conference in assists per game (8.7) and total assists (52). He's also fourth in the GNAC in scoring (17.3).
  • The Wolves are 23-48 all-time against Central Washington - dropping both contests to the Wildcats last season (75-73 at home, 80-68 on the road). WOU is looking for its first win at home against the Wildcats since Jan. 25, 2020 (83-66).
  • WOU is 33-38 overall against Northwest Nazarene, splitting a pair of games last season against the Nighthawks (65-53 win at home, 62-54 loss on the road. 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
  • The Wolves played in the Azusa Pacific Thanksgiving Classic last weekend, falling to Biola 66-50 on Friday and host Azusa Pacific 77-68 on Saturday.
  • Cali McClave is sixth in the GNAC in scoring (15.7), first in steals (2.7) and seventh in 3-pointers made (15). Triniti Youngblood is fourth in the GNAC in assists per game (4.0) to go along with 9.6 points and 9.6 points per game.
  • WOU ranks fourth in the conference in scoring defense (65.4) and seventh in points per game (64.4).
  • The Wolves are 17-34 all-time against Central Washington, including going 1-1 against the Wildcats last season (83-72 win at home, 69-56 loss in Ellensburg).
  • WOU is 43-45 all-time against Northwest Nazarene (the most games played against any team in program history). Last season the Wolves split with the Nighthawks - winning 77-63 at home and falling 67-58 at NNU.
