TUCSON, Ariz. --- The Western Oregon softball team won its finale at the Cactus Classic on Sunday morning, defeating University of MInnesota Crookston 6-2.

The game ended in the bottom of the sixth with the Wolves (8-9) up, the bases loaded and one out due to a time limit.

Maddie Doig led WOU at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a run and two stolen bases. Maddie Brandner had a bases-loaded, three-run triple as well in the contest.

Chelsea Smith got the win, going five innings and giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits with six strikeouts and four walks.

The Wolves return to action at home Saturday when they open a four-game, non-GNAC series against Central Washington.
