Wolves men's soccer nationally ranked for first time in program history

MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon men's soccer team for the first time in the three-year history of the program is nationally ranked as the Wolves come in at No. 25 in Tuesday's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Poll.

WOU is riding a five-match unbeaten streak (4-0-1) and sit at 4-1-1 overall with its only loss coming to No. 20 CSU-Pueblo to open the season in Colorado. The Wolves are the only GNAC team ranked in the top 25.

It's been a meteoric rise into the rankings for the young program - but the improvement under second-year head coach Michael Behonick is shown in since starting conference play last season on Sept. 16, 2023, the Wolves are 13-2-4 and are 15-4-4 overall since the start of 2023.

WOU begins GNAC play noon Thursday when it puts its eight-match home unbeaten streak (6-0-2) on the line against Western Washington at WOU Turf Field.
