THE WOLVES HEADING INTO THE WEEK
The Wolves head into the week after splitting their two games at the GNAC/CCAA Crossover last week in Ellensburg, Wash. WOU beat Cal State Monterey Bay, 89-88 Friday.. WOU then dropped its game against No. 14 Cal State San Bernardino, 101-64.

Jason Gallant is leading the Wolves in scoring (18.0) and assists (2.4) while adding 3.2 boards per game.
Anjay Cortez is second on the team in scoring (8.8) while adding 1.8 steals per game.
Brady Grier lead WOU at 5.6 rebounds per game to go along with 8.6 points per contest.
THE OPPONENTS HEADING INTO THE WEEK
Stanislaus State is heading into this week after splitting their opening week of games at the CCAA/PacWest Challenge. The Warriors beat Fresno Pacific 74-62 Friday before losing to Point Loma 68-61 Saturday. The Warriors are led in scoring by Jeremiah Jones, averaging 14.5 point a game. Daniel Ameyaw leads Stanislaus State on boards, averaging 6.0 rebound a game.
Sonoma State is heading into the week after also splitting their opening weekend of play, losing at home 84-69 to Dominican before picking up a win against Academy of Art 80-78. James Nobles leads the Seawolves, averaging 16.5 per game.

Wolves pickup first win of season against Cal State Monterey Bay (Nov. 8)
The Wolves picked up their first win of the season on a 89-88 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay at the GNAC/CCAA Crossover in Ellensburg, Wash. on Nov. 8. The Wolves were able to hold off the Otters after securing the rebound off the game-tying free throw with one second remaining. Senior
Jason Gallant picked up 30 points in the victory along with four assists and two steals while
Zach Moore had a perfect 4-for-4 night from 3-point range, picking up 12 points and seven rebounds.
Gallant named to Preseason All-GNAC team (Oct. 22)
Western Oregon Senior
Jason Gallant was named to the GNAC Men's Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team when the conference released the team on Oct. 22.
Gallant, a senior guard from Simi Valley, California, led the Wolves and was sixth in the conference in scoring last year at 15.5 points per game while he was second in the GNAC in assists (4.4) and minutes per game (36.3) in his first season at WOU. He scored a season-high 31 points against Alaska Fairbanks on Feb. 22, 2023.
Wolves picked ninth in GNAC Preseason Coaches Poll (Oct. 17)
The Western Oregon men's basketball team was picked to finish ninth - receiving 21 votes – when the conference released the coaches poll on Oct. 17. The Wolves finished 10th in the GNAC last year with a conference record of 2-16 and overall record of 5-21.
