ROHNERT PARK, Calif. --- In a game that saw the lead change 21 times over the first 26 minutes of the game, the Western Oregon men's basketball team came out on the short end with a 94-88 loss Friday at the Ron Logsdon Classic on the campus of Sonoma State.
The Wolves (1-5) took a 56-55 lead at the 14:36 mark on a
Jason Gallant jumper - but unfortunately for WOU it would be its last lead as the Warriors (2-1) slowly pulled away - eventually building a 10-point lead and holding on at the end.
Carson Frincke led five Wolves in double figures with 20 points, going 6-for-7 from 3-point range.
Anjay Cortez had 17 points and eight rebounds, Gallant flirted with a triple-double with 15 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, Mario Williams Junior had 12 points while
Zach Moore finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
WOU takes on host Sonoma State 7 p.m. Saturday.
