ANCHORAGE, Alaska --- The Western Oregon men's basketball team fell to Alaska Anchorage 71-49 on Saturday night at Alaska Airlines Center.
The Wolves (2-9 overall, 0-2 GNAC) finished the first half on a 7-0 run capped by five consecutive points from
Jason Gallant to cut the Seawolves' (6-7, 1-1) lead to a point at 35-34.
However, WOU went cold offensively and was unable to rally in the second half.
Brady Grier came off the bench to lead the Wolves with 14 points to go along with six rebounds and a block.
Anjay Cortez had 13 points, four steals and three rebounds while Gallant finished with 10 points and three assists. He also drained his 100th career collegiate 3-pointer in the contest.
WOU is off until Dec. 17 when it hosts Linfield in the WOU Staff and Faculty Appreciation Game. All WOU staff and faculty get free admission by showing their employee ID.
