SEATTLE, Wash. --- The Western Oregon men's basketball team dropped its road contest to Seattle Pacific, 82-65, in the Brougham Pavilion Thursday.
The Wolves (4-16 overall, 1-9 GNAC) battled close with the Falcons (10-12, 6-4) throughout the first half, entering halftime down 37-31. WOU continued to stay close with SPU in the second half, trailing 60-54 with 8:28 remaining after
Tony Salinas scored in the paint to put the Wolves within six. But six was as close as the Wolves would get after a late push by the Falcons - led by a 22-11 run in the remaining 8-minutes.
Jahville Collins paced the Wolves in scoring and rebounds, finishing with 19 points and five rebounds.
Jason Gallant added 13 points and three assists,
Mario Williams Jr. tallied 12 points and Salinas 9.
The Wolves now travel east to take on Montana State Billings 1 p.m. (PT) Saturday.
