BURNABY, B.C. --- The Western Oregon men's soccer team dropped its GNAC opener on the road to Simon Fraser 3-1 on Thursday at SFU Stadium at Terry Fox Field.

The Wolves (4-3-2, 0-1) jumped ahead in the first half when Mauricio Medina scored in the 42nd minute on assists from Yahir Ocampo Navarro and Michael Divano.

But the Red Leafs (2-5-2, 1-0) came out of the second half strong, finding the equalizer just 32 seconds into the final 45 minutes. SFU took the lead in the 65th minute and got insurance in the 82nd minute.

WOU looks to bounce back Saturday at Western Washington.
