LACEY, Wash. --- The Western Oregon men's soccer team tied a school record for goals scores and set a school record for goal scorers in a game in the Wolves' 6-2 win over Saint Martin's on Friday at the Regional Athletic Complex.
WOU (6-4-4 overall, 2-2-2 GNAC) fell behind in the 12th minute 1-0 before
Harper Neubeck tied the game in the 31st minute (assisted by
Aidan Brouddus).
Michael Divano game the Wolves the lead for good with a goal in the 43rd minute - assisted by Brouddus and
Evan Huber) - before
Yahir Ocampo Navarro scored with 26 seconds left in the first half (assisted by
Aidan Azavedo) to make it 3-1.
The Saints scored in the 47th minute on a penalty kick to cut the WOU lead to 3-2 and it remained that way until
Daniel Farias scored in the 71st minute to boost the WOU lead to two.
Jesus Magana scored in the 87th minute (assisted by Jaime Villanueva) before
Caleb Kiner capped the scoring in the 89th minute on an assists from
Alejandro Valdes-Dordea to make the final 6-2.
The Wolves continue play on the road next week as they travel to take on Seattle Pacific on Thursday before playing at Northwest Nazarene on Saturday.
