LACEY, Wash. --- The Western Oregon softball team dropped its last two games of the 2025 season, falling at Saint Martin's 13-5 and 4-3 on Sunday at SMU Softball Field.
In game two, the Wolves (13-37 overall, 6-17 GNAC) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a
Hope Bodak homer - the first of her collegiate career.
The score remained that way until the fifth when Saint Martin's (31-12, 16-7) scored three on a bases-loaded three-run double. But in the next half inning, the Wolves answered on a two-run single by pinch-hitter
Jenna Bixler to tie it at 3-3.
The score remained that way until bottom of the seventh when the Saints won it on a walk-off RBI single.
Kennedy Abbas went 6.1 innings for the Wolves, giving up four runs on eight hits with a strikeout and a walk. Bodak led WOU at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs.
In Sunday's first game, WOU took a 2-0 lead in the first on an
Isabelle Lewis RBI double and a Bixler RBI single. But a six-run third inning by SMU helped the Saints pull away.
Lewis led WOU at hte plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, a run and a double.
