NAMPA, Idaho — The Western Oregon men's basketball team dropped an 83–71 decision to Northwest Nazarene on Thursday night at Johnson Sports Center.
After WOU (7–10 overall, 2-6 GNAC) led 49–47 early in the second half, Northwest Nazarene (12-5, 6-2) used a sustained run to gain control and shot 62.8 percent from the field after halftime to pull away.
Jadin Penigar led the Wolves with 24 points, going 8-of-8 at the free-throw line, while Noah Ogoli and AB Gilchrist added 12 points apiece. Ogoli also grabbed six rebounds, and Gilchrist finished with four boards and three assists.
Western Oregon continues its road swing Saturday with a conference matchup at Central Washington.
