MONMOUTH, Ore. — The Western Oregon baseball team dropped both games of a GNAC doubleheader to Northwest Nazarene, falling 6-5 and 4-0 on Friday at the WOU Baseball Field.

The Wolves battled back late, but couldn't complete the comeback in the opener.
After falling behind 5-2 through four innings, WOU answered with three runs in the seventh to tie the game.
Chris Arce drove in a run, while Alex Angevine and Robby Shepherd also contributed RBIs during the rally.
Northwest Nazarene responded with the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to reclaim the lead.
Zane Garvey went 2-for-4 to lead WOU offensively.
On the mound, Ayden Holker kept the Wolves in the game, tossing 5.2 innings and allowing five runs (two earned) on nine hits with four strikeouts and one walk.
Northwest Nazarene 4, Western Oregon 0
Northwest Nazarene broke a scoreless tie with a run in the fifth before adding three more in the sixth to pull away.
Benny Nazario, Chris Arce and Gunnar Shiotani each recorded hits as the Wolves threatened but couldn't break through.
On the mound, Logan Larrance took the loss, throwing 5.0 innings and allowing four hits and one run with two strikeouts and one walk.
The Wolves continue their GNAC series against Northwest Nazarene 11 a.m. Saturday in Monmouth.
