Earned first team All-GNAC honors…Named to the all-tournament team in each of the Wolves' four tournaments…Finished second in the GNAC in scoring (17.7), fifth in free throw percentage (.803) and ninth in rebounding (7.2)…Registered six double-doubles, all with points and rebounds…Scored 20 or more points 12 times…Posted a career-best 29 points against Western Washington…Recorded double-digit points in 25 of 27 games…Led the Wolves in scoring in 18 of their 27 games…Named women's basketball Marquis Spas Athlete of the Year…Went 10-of-21 from the floor against Central Washington en route to scoring 26 points…Recorded a field goal in all 27 games and a free throw in 26-of-27.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08)
Started in 24 of 25 games she played…Led the team with an .841 free throw percentage (90-107)…Finished second on the team with an 11.8 scoring average and 6.4 rebounds per game…Shot .399 from the floor (97-243) to finish third on the team in shooting percentage…Recorded four double-doubles, with points and rebounds...Scored in double-figures 12 times including a season-best 22 points against Humboldt State and Cal Poly Pomona…Went 12-of-15 from the free throw line en route to her 22 points against Cal Poly Pomona…Had six steals against Cal State Stanislaus.
PRIOR TO WOU
A 2006 graduate of Burns High School…Lettered four years in basketball and volleyball, three in track and twice for softball…Two-time first team all-state (3A) selection, named to the second team as a sophomore…First team all-league for basketball as a junior and senior, earning league MVP both years…Burns went 30-0 and won the state basketball title her senior year…Averaged 16 points and nine rebounds a game…Participated in the 2006 Basketball All-Star Series…Scored a personal record best 30 points in a game against Central High School in 2004…Also a second team (junior year) and first team (senior year) all-state honoree for volleyball…Earned first team all-league standing for volleyball her sophomore, junior (MVP), and senior years…Helped lead Burns High School to a state volleyball title with a perfect 41-0 record as a junior in 2004…Transferred from University of Nebraska Kearney where she played basketball last year…Averaged five points a game for the nationally ranked (NCAA Div. II) Lopers.
