Garcia transfers to WOU after spending the previous season at Edmonds CC in Lynnwood, Wash. During his time at Edmonds, he was name to the NWAC after playing in 38 games posting 28 hits, four doubles, a triple, three home runs and 26 RBI. He also walked 18 times and added three stolen bases. During his high school career at South Kitsap in Washington, Garcia earned four letters and was a team captain for three seasons. He earned Team MVP honors his junior year. Helped lead the team to the 4A State Championship as a freshman. He added First Team All-Narrows League accolades his sophomore season. During his junior year, the team made it to Regionals and he earned Second Team All-SPSL. He completed his career helping the team to state and he earned First Team All-SPSL.
