Biography

Walker stays in the GNAC after spending last season at Concordia (OR) and also competed at Clackamas CC. During his time at Concordia this past season, Walker opened the outdoor season at the UW Preview competing in the 4x400, high jump and pole vault. He set a PR in the heptathlon in the Ed Jacoby Invite coming in third with 4,791 points posting a pair of top-three finishes in the high jump and pole vault. He later competed in both the Portland Indoor Meet #2 and the GNAC Indoor Track Championships. Walker set several other PR marks during his time at Clackamas posting a top time in the 400 at the L&C Spring Break Open clocking a time of 51.85 to come in second, set a pole vault new mark at the Linfield Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational with a distance of 14-10.75 to come in first. He added a pair of PR's at the Cougar Open in the long jump with a distance of 21-4 to come in third and in the javelin with a distance of 179-1. He collected a PR in the decathlon at the NWAC Southern Region Championships winning the event again with a total of 6,502 points coming in top-three in nine of the 10 events. Walker closed his career at Clackamas with a PR in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.20 at the NWAC Championships.  Originally from Everett, Wash., Walker was a four-year letterwinner at Mariner High School in both football and track and field, along with competing in wrestling for two seasons.
