Biography
Deters competed at Perrydale High School in Amity, Ore., where she was named the Athlete of the Year by the Polk County Itemizer-Observer following the 2019 outdoor season in which she took home the high jump, long jump and triple jump state championship titles. Some of her top marks include reaching 35-8 in the triple jump, 17-6 in the long jump, 5-5 in the high jump. In addition to competing in the jumps, Deters also threw the javelin a distance of 74-6 and ran in the 100 with a time of 13.01, 200 with a time of 28.24 and the 300 hurdles with a time of 51.28. Deters won the 100 meter she entered at the 2A Special District 2 Meet at Jefferson, won seven titles in the high jump in addition to the state title, collecting six titles in addition to the state title in the long jump and five titles in addition to the state title in the triple jump. Deters was also part of four 4x100 relay teams throughout the 2019 outdoor season.
