Biography

FRESHMAN (2022): Had a strong freshman campaign, appearing 19 games including making four starts ... Finished 3-1 with three saves and a 2.53 ERA ... Had 50 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched while allowing just 30 hits with opponents hitting just .201 ... Didn't allow a run in his final seven appearances - a span of 11 innings where he struck out 13 batters and allowed seven hits.

HIGH SCHOOL: Bond arrives at Western Oregon after competing at Sierra Canyon High School in Simi Valley, Calif. He was a four-year letterwinner throughout his prep career and helped Sierra Canyon to the league championship all four seasons. He was a captain over the past three seasons of his career. As a senior, Bond tossed 39.2 innings, posting 36 strikeouts to just 12 walks. He held a .706 ERA, allowing just 18 hits during the season. Bond was on the honor roll, dean's list and was the head of the school list throughout his prep career. He also helped coach younger kids ages 7-14 at a baseball training academy serving as a pitching coach. His father, Steve Bond, played volleyball at Cal State Northridge.
