Matt Skundrick returns to his alma mater for his second season as the pitching coach. He joined Robbins' coaching staff in 2010, after spending the previous season as the pitching coach for Corban College. Last season, Skundrick mentored three Wolves' starting pitchers to all-conference honors including GNAC Pitcher of the Year Jacob Pettit. He also instructed 2010 MLB draft picks Blake Keitzman (27th round, Colorado Rockies) and Jacob Pettit (42nd, Baltimore Orioles).
Prior to entering the coaching ranks Skundrick played for the Wolves from 2005 to 2006, and he was a two-time all-conference first team selection as infielder. He led the GNAC in homeruns (11) as a senior and tied for second in runs batted in (45).
"I am very excited about the addition of Matt Skundrick to the WOU baseball program," Robbins said. "He had an outstanding career at WOU and his knowledge of the baseball program and its history will be a big asset to our staff."
