AS A SENIOR (2020)
McCord put together another impressive season in the shortened 2020 year. His .484 batting average ended up leading the GNAC and was sixth nationally. He also led the conference and was fourth nationally in doubles per game (0.67), led the conference and was fifth nationally in on-base percentage (.591), led the conference and was eighth nationally in slugging percentage (.903) and tied for the conference lead in sacrifice flies (2). McCord also ranked second in the GNAC in base on balls per game (0.83) and tied for sixth in triples (1). For the season he started all 12 games posting his .484 batting average with 15 hits, eight doubles ,a triple, a home run and 11 RBI. In addition to his .903 slugging percentage, he held a .591 on-base percentage. He drew 10 walks to just six strikeouts and also scored nine runs. On the mound he tossed in three games that included a start. He held a 2.00 ERA in nine innings of work and picked up a save. McCord posted 11 strikeouts to just three walks. He tallied five multi-hit games, reaching a season-high four hits with a perfect 4-4 day at the plate against MSU Billings. McCord added three multi-double games, reaching two in a game twice, hit a home run against Central Washington and drove in four runs against MSU Billings. On the mound, he went five innings against Central Washington and tossed a pair of two inning games against Fresno Pacific and MSU Billings. Tallying five strikeouts in just two innings against MSU Billings to get the save.
AS A JUNIOR (2019)
NCBWAÂ and D2CCA All-West Region First Team, First Team All-GNAC... finished 8th in the GNAC with 8 home runs, 4th in RBI (42), 8th in slugging percentage (.556) and 6th in saves (3)... 1-1 record with a 2.33 on the mound, making five starts and six relief appearances... hit .303 at the plate in 142 at-bats... was a part of three combined shutouts in 2019... second all-time in program history after junior season with 19 career home runs and 116 RBI.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2018)
Second Team All-GNAC… One of two players on the team to start all 48 games… Made 44 starts at first base and four as a pitcher… Ended the year hitting .306 with 23 extra-base hits… Finished fourth in the GNAC and led the team with 11 home runs… The home run total is tied for fifth most in WOU history for a single season… Also led the club with 48 RBI which stands as the No. 9 mark in school history for a single season… Second on the team and sixth in the GNAC with a .572 slugging percentage… Had 16 multi-hit games on the season, including three with three or more… Had four hits against MSU Billings on May 10… Drove in more than two runs on 15 occasions… Had two separate games with five RBI… Popped two home runs at Saint Martin’s on March 2… Tied a school record by drawing two intentional walks in a game at Concordia on March 25… Had the team’s longest hitting streak of eight games… Had a 10-game streak of reaching base during the season… On the mound, went 1-4 in eight appearances… Made four starts and logged 28 2/3 innings… Struck out 21 and walked seven… Struck out a season high six batters in a start in the GNAC Tournament against Central Washington on May 9... Held the Wildcats to three runs (two earned) over six innings… Tossed a season-high seven innings against Northwest Nazarene on May 3.
AS A FRESHMAN (2017)
Honorable mention All-GNAC as a utility player… Logged 45 1/3 innings of work on the mound and credited with 93 at bats at the plate… As a pitcher, went 2-2 in 11 appearances (six starts)… Struck out 32 and walked 14 while compiling a 4.37 earned run average… Held his opponents to a .226 batting average… Made 19 starts at first and six as the DH… As a batter, collected 29 hits for a .313 average… Improved to .364 (20-of-55) with runners on base, and .472 (17-of-36) with runners in scoring position… Also went 3-for-4 with the bases loaded… Had eight multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit performances… Had a nine-game hitting streak… Registered 26 RBI and scored 13 runs… Drove in multiple runs on seven occasions with a season-best four RBI against Northwest Nazarene (May 4)… Went 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts… Committed four errors in 171 chances in the field… Helped turn 13 double plays… Collected first collegiate hit by going 1-for-1 against UC San Diego (Feb. 16)… Allowed one hit while striking out two in two innings of work in the season opener against Fresno Pacific…  Tossed a complete game against Northwest Nazarene (May 4)… Struck out a season high six batters in three innings of relief against Saint Martin’s (March 25).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Corona del Sol High School in 2016… Three-time letter winner for the Aztecs… Named team captain and team MVP as a senior… First team all-division after hitting .400 as a senior… Helped the Aztecs to the state tournament… Hit .349 as a junior, leading to second team all-division accolades… Set school record for a freshman batting average at .627.
PERSONAL: Born July 30… Majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
