Biography

JUNIOR (2022): A two-way player, Mitzel hit .156 (5-for-32) with a home run, two RBI, five RBI and five runs while not giving up a run in seven innings on the mound - going 1-0 with two strikeouts.

PRIOR TO WESTERN OREGON: Mitzel arrives at Western Oregon after playing at Lane CC the previous two-plus seasons. He began his career in 2018-19 playing on 40 games and coming away with 29 hits, 23 runs, four doubles, two triples, two home runs and 13 RBI. He also drew 14 walks and stole 13 bases. In the shortened 2019-20 season, Mitzel played in nine games, coming away with six hits, five runs and three RBI. In his final season of 2020-21, Mitzel played in 30 games, coming away with 17 hits, 12 runs, three doubles, two triples, 11 RBI, nine walks and nine stolen bases.
