Started and scored in all 27 games for the Wolves…Averaged 11.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and two assists per game…Went a perfect 7-for-7 from the field, including 4-4 from three-point range en route to scoring 19 points against Corban College, his first game with Western Oregon…Scored in double figures in 17 of 27 games…Scored a season-high 24 points versus BYU-Hawaii…Made a career-best six three-pointers against Seattle University…Shot 45-percent from three-point range (45-100)...Led the Wolves in minutes per game at 29.4.

PRIOR TO WOU

A 2002 graduate of South Salem High School where he played varsity basketball for three years…Was a unanimous first-team all-Valley League selection as a senior, and a second-team member as a junior…Played in the OSAA 4A All-Star Game…Spent two years at Salt Lake Community College in Utah where he played basketball…Averaged 4.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 31 games in 2006-07.

Born in Grand Junction, Colo…Exercise Science major, Spanish minor…Father is a professor at WOU and former head basketball coach, Mom is a secretary at a Monmouth Elementary School…Sam married Rebecca in May ’07…Has two brothers, Scott (28) and Steve (21)…Uncle Steve Kelly played basketball at BYU; cousin Sean also played at BYU and WOU; Dad played basketball at Snow College.
