Pandelis Popgeorgiev

Pandelis Popgeorgiev begins his first season as the Western Oregon assistant men's soccer coach in 2025.

Popgeorgiev spent the last two years at Thomas More University in Cincinnati as a graduate assistant, gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level. Also during his time in Cincinnati, he worked in youth soccer as the head coach for the Kings Hammer 2008 Academy Team.

Prior to starting his coaching journey, Popgeorgiev played professionally in Hungary after the conclusion of his college career. During his professional career he was able to win three domestic league cup championships.

After a prolific youth career, Popgeorgiev came to the United States from 2015 to 2019, attending NCAA Division 1 University of Missouri–Kansas City.

At the youth level, Popgeorgiev made 40 appearances with the Hungarian Youth National Teams, including during a successful qualification for the UEFA U17 European Championship. He was developed as a player in the biggest club system in Hungary; Ferencváros Budapest.

Academically, he hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from University of Missouri-Kansas City and a master’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Data Analytics from Thomas Moore University.

Popgeorgiev speaks Hungarian, Greek, and English fluently.

He is currently working towards both my UEFA C License and the USSF C License.
