Matt Schryvers

Matthew Schryvers returns to the Wolves Track & Field coaching staff in 2015 for his fifth season working with the throws.

Since starting as an assistant In the Spring of 2011, athletes coached by Schryvers have earned 9 USTFCCCA All-Region and 14 All-GNAC honors, adding 15 of their names to GNAC and WOU All-Time Top 10 Lists; notably Emmi Collier, 2015 GNAC Outdoor Shot Put Champion and 2016 NCAA Division II Indoor Championship participant. 

Schryvers’ track and field career began at Lane Community College in Eugene, OR in 2007.  As a Titan he was All-Southern Region and All-NWAACC in the shot put and hammer.  After transferring to WOU, he became 2011 GNAC Indoor Conference Weight Throw Champion under the tutelage of Stewart Togher and Adam Kriz.  His mark of 17.25m was 7th in GNAC and WOU history at the time.

A native of Springfield, OR, Schryvers earned his B.S. in Business in 2010 and later completed his Masters in Management and Information Systems in 2012 at Western Oregon.
