Aly Boytz

Aly Boytz begins her fourth year as WOU softball head coach and her 10th season overall as a coach with the Wolves entering the 2025-26 campaign.

In 2025, WOU saw Victoria Zimmerman earn All-GNAC Second Team honors as an outfielder under Boytz while second baseman Kate Ronning and outfielder Aaliyah Gaboriault were selected All-GNAC Honorable Mention.

In 2024, the Wolves finished 21-26 overall and 9-15 in GNAC play. WOU defeated eventual national runner up and GNAC champion Western Washington twice while the Vikings were ranked (two of WWU's 12 losses on the season). Pitcher Mackenzee Collins was named GNAC Newcomer of the Year and to the All-GNAC First Team along with infielder Kate Ronning.

As interim head coach in 2023, the WOU alum Boytz led the Wolves to the GNAC postseason after finishing fourth in the conference with an 11-13 record (22-30 overall). Five players earned all-conference honors, including a trio of All-GNAC Second Team players in pitcher Maddie Mayer and outfielders Katelyn McGough and Maddie Doig (pitcher Chelsea Smith and catcher Natalie Willoughby earned All-GNAC Honorable Mention).

As a senior in 2016, Boytz led the pitching staff with 25 starts and compiled a 13-8 record. Boytz registered 156.2 innings of work and carried a 2.64 ERA to earn All-GNAC honorable mention honors.

A native of Eugene, Oregon, Boytz graduated from Elmira High School and received back-to-back all-state honors for the Falcons. In addition to her work in the circle, Boytz was a standout in basketball and volleyball at Elmira.
