Nikki Miller joins the Western Oregon softball coaching staff for the 2021 season after playing for the Wolves since 2018.
Miller arrived at WOU after playing her first collegiate season at Northern Idaho CC and is originally from Tualatin, Ore. During the 2018 year, Miller played in 43 games that included 35 starts at catcher. She tallied 32 hits, seven doubles, four home runs, 23 RBI and six walks. She was strong behind the plate recording 112 putouts and 15 assists. Seven times during the 2018 season Miller posted a multi-hit game, reaching a season-high three hits against Southwestern Oklahoma. She added four RBI and a pair of doubles in that same game. Five times during the season Miller had a multi-RBI game. After sitting out the 2019 season due to injury, Miller returned for the shortened 2020 campaign playing in 14 games that included 13 starts. She tallied a .333 average with 12 hits, a double, a home run, nine RBI and five runs scored. Miller posted a three-hit game against Saint Martin's and had three multi-hit games on the season. She tallied a home run earlier in the season against one of the top teams in the nation in Oklahoma Christian.
