Zoe Butterfield enters her sixth year (fifth season) as part of the WOU softball coaching staff heading into the 2024-25 school year.
In one way or another, Butterfield (maiden name Clark) has been a part of four of the Wolves' top-six team batting average seasons in program history - twice as a player in 2017 (.308) and 2018 (.305) and twice as an assistant coach 2019 (.323 - second best in school history) and 2020 (.314 in 23 games in pandemic shortened season).
No player has donned a Wolves uniform in a career than Butterfield, playing in 207 games from 2015-18 (197 starts - fifth in WOU history). She ranks highly in several offensive career categories in WOU history, including home runs (22 - fifth), RBI (103 - fifth) and hits (176 - 10th). Her 11 homers in 2018 ranks fifth in WOU history (she tied for the GNAC lead that season).
